Why Jesus?
Jesus is by far the most influential person who ever lived. A third of all people claim to worship him, we count the date from his birth. Laws and rights are founded on his teaching. Not bad for a boy born in a barn.
Jesus claimed to be the expression of God to the world; the “Word of God”, the way to connect with God, and the exact representation of who God is, the only way to be rescued from our guilt and mistakes and be welcomed into his family.
For the last 2,000 years, hundreds of millions of people have testified to how God has turned their lives around, giving them meaning, purpose and hope. You can meet some of them in our church.
We cannot expect to understand life, God or the world without understanding Jesus. At Grace Church we want to give you the space to do exactly that.
Why go to church?
God is a community of loving relationships and we experience him especially in community. Church is a community of people who gather to hear his words, worship him and together grow to become more like Jesus.
Jesus talked about “the Kingdom” or his “Church”, the community of people who took him as their king. He said this began as something insignificant, like yeast in a lump of dough, but would spread to transform everything. That was an astonishing claim when he was a carpenter from no where special, especially when he face execution. 2000 years later though, he continues to back it up.
